Artist's Comments

I'd usually do this in a landscape but I though this one turned out prettier.
End of the first (half) day at the cabin in St. Ignace, Mi.

I'm sure many many more to come.

What I like about this photo, is the contrast. The sky is bright, as is the water, and the rest is silhouette. What might have made a better effect is for the sun to have been shone through that little deck thing just left and down from the sun. However, I do not like how the sun is entirely centered in the shot. The subject(s) of a photo shouldn't be centered like that. To make a photo interesting, and I'm not sure if you've heard of the rule of thirds but to use that in this photo would definitely made this photo far better. The simple color scheme works, while the placement of the subject does need work.

Good photo. Keep shooting.

Gorgeous sunset! Might I add that a black frame around this would make it look even more beautiful? :3
